Day by Day

Day 1, Managua to Jicaro Island:

When you land in Managua, you’ll be whisked away in a private transfer to the shores of Lake Nicaragua, where you’ll catch a boat bound for Jicaro Island, your first destination. Take in the sights & sounds of the rainforest as you settle into the luxury digs you’ll call home for the next three days.

Day 2, Jicaro Island:

Your time at Jicaro Island Ecolodge will be spent making the most of the lodge's ample facilities – daily lakeside yoga classes to relax mind and body, and unlimited access to boats, kayaks or paddleboards to explore Lake Nicaragua at your leisure. For dinner tonight, share a romantic candlelit dinner on a private dock, and later, drift off to sleep to the sound of waves lapping at the shore and gentle tropical breezes rustling leaves in the trees.

Day 3, Jicaro Island:

After a relaxing day spent poolside, enjoying the spa, or catching some rays on your spacious private terrace, head out on a guided afternoon paddle through the scenic isletas to enjoy sightings of a diverse array of bird and animal life and soak in the views of majestic Mombacho in the distance, before you watch the sun set over Lake Nicaragua.

Day 4, Jicaro Island to Granada:

Start your day with a leisurely morning, enjoying breakfast and lunch at the lodge before taking a short boat ride to the city of Granada, to wander the cobblestone streets, indulge in the city's thriving culinary scene, and immerse yourself in Nicaragua's colorful culture.

Day 5, Granada:

Today, you'll walk in the footsteps of Granada's colonial past, riding in a horse-drawn carriage, exploring the convent and church of San Francisco, which dates back to the 16th century, and climbing the bell tower of Merced for an awe-inspiring panoramic vista of the city, Lake Nicaragua, and the looming silhouette of Mombacho, ever present on the horizon.

Day 6, Granada to Little Corn Island:

Rise with the dawn today, bid farewell to Granada, and transfer to Managua to catch a puddle-jumper flight to Big Corn Island. It's time to retreat to Yemaya Hideaway & Spa, a rustic beachfront sanctuary on the picturesque white sand beaches of Little Corn for some well-deserved rest & relaxation.

Day 7, Little Corn Island:

After breakfast, today is yours to explore the island of Little Corn. Enjoy spectacular views of the ocean from your private terrace, take a paddleboard out for a spin, play in the turquoise surf, walk jungle paths that wind beneath mango, coconut, and breadfruit trees to find a secluded, private stretch of sand to call your own for the day.

Day 8, Little Corn Island:

This morning, set out to enjoy some of the very best of what the Corn Islands have to offer - crystalline Caribbean waters, gorgeous island views, and a diverse array of undersea life - as you glide along the coastline in a 40-foot handcrafted sailboat, captained by indigenous Miskito sailors. Enjoy the best snorkeling on the island, then relax on deck with a juicy wedge of watermelon and a cold drink as you sail back to Yemaya.

Day 9, Little Corn Island:

On your final full day on Little Corn, embrace the laid-back island vibe and get your chill on with a 90-minute massage to release stress and melt tension away, leaving you feeling revitalized and limber. After your last island sunset, go down to the beach for a private, beachfront candlelit dinner for two to wrap up a truly memorable trip.

Day 10, Departure:

Transfer to Big Corn Island via boat for a quick flight back to Managua to catch your international flight home. Buen viaje!
